Masked group filmed boarding vintage bus by Hoover Building in Perivale
About 20 men dressed in black were seen near the Tesco car park on Western Avenue on the same morning anti-migrant campaigners reportedly protested at a coach depot nearby.
A group of about 20 masked men dressed in black were filmed boarding a vintage Routemaster bus beside the Hoover Building in Perivale on the morning of Sunday 11 October.
Footage shared with UB1UB2 shows the group gathered on the edge of the Tesco car park on Western Avenue at about 11.45am. Some of the men were carrying a large white banner. The group is then seen getting on to a red heritage double-decker bus parked beside the car park.
Earlier that morning, campaigners from a group calling itself Patriot Platform reportedly gathered outside a coach company depot in Perivale. They were protesting over claims that the firm's coaches were being used to carry asylum seekers.
It has not been confirmed whether the men in the footage were part of that protest. The Metropolitan Police has not commented on either gathering.
Protest at a coach depot
It is understood the protest took place outside the BM Coaches depot in Wadsworth Road, Perivale, a short distance from the Hoover Building. Protesters reportedly blocked access to the site while police kept watch.
The campaigners claimed the company had been involved in moving migrants within the Home Office asylum system. Neither the Home Office nor the company has confirmed this.
Patriot Platform is an anti-immigration activist group that was set up in the summer of 2026. It has been described as far-right. Its founder is Daniel Thomas, an activist known as Danny Tommo, who set it up after leaving another campaign group, Raise the Colours.
The gathering in Perivale came during a wider wave of anti-immigration protests across the UK, many of them focused on asylum accommodation and on companies said to be involved in housing or transporting asylum seekers. The weekend before, there were protests in Gosport, Hampshire, after people who had crossed the Channel were reportedly brought ashore there.
A well-known landmark
The Hoover Building stands on Western Avenue, the A40, and is one of the best-known landmarks in west London. The Art Deco building was designed by Wallis, Gilbert and Partners and finished in 1932. It was once a factory for the Hoover company. A Tesco supermarket now uses the rear part of the site, and the main frontage has been turned into flats.
Thousands of drivers on the A40 and passengers on the Central line pass the site every day. Perivale station is close by.
Anyone with information about either gathering, or who saw anything of concern, can contact the Metropolitan Police on 101 or 999 in an emergency. Crimestoppers can be reached anonymously on 0800 555 111.
