London's Air Ambulance landed on the green space beside The Green in Southall on Thursday afternoon, 24 September, after emergency services were called to an incident in the area.
Police put a cordon along the pavement near Southall Manor House. Several police vehicles, ambulance crews and an incident response officer were at the scene.
Footage shared with UB1UB2 shows police tape in place and officers standing by. Shoppers and passers-by were gathered along the street nearby.
What is known
The police and the London Ambulance Service have not publicly confirmed what happened, who was involved or how anyone was hurt. It is not known whether anyone was taken to hospital, or whether they went by road or by air.
London's Air Ambulance is a charity. It sends a doctor and a paramedic to people with life-threatening injuries across the capital, and its helicopter often lands in parks and other open spaces close to an incident.
Traffic and travel
Traffic along The Green and towards The Broadway was heavily delayed during the afternoon. Buses using the route, including the 120, were held up.
While the cordon was in place, drivers were advised to avoid The Green if they could and to allow extra time. The Green is one of the main routes through Southall, linking the town centre and The Broadway with the south of the town.
About the area
