Police cordon and forensic team at road off Ealing Road in Wembley
Officers guarded a taped-off residential street near Ealing Road on Saturday morning while crime scene investigators worked inside the cordon. Police have not yet confirmed what happened.
A residential road just off Ealing Road in Wembley was taped off by police on Saturday morning, 3 October, while a forensic team worked at the scene.
Footage shared with UB1UB2 at around 11.30am shows police tape across the road and the pavement. A Metropolitan Police forensic services van, marked for crime scene investigation, is parked inside the cordon, and uniformed officers are guarding it. A second police vehicle can be seen further along the street.
The person who shared the footage said something had happened in the area the night before. The Metropolitan Police has not publicly confirmed what led to the cordon, whether anyone was hurt or whether any arrests have been made.
What is known
The cordon was on a quiet residential street of semi-detached houses near Ealing Road, one of Wembley's main shopping streets, which runs south from Wembley Central towards Alperton. The exact road has not been confirmed by police.
A forensic team at a scene usually means officers are gathering evidence after an incident they are investigating. Police have not said what kind of incident this was.
Separately, a 24-year-old man was reportedly left critically injured after a shooting on Douglas Avenue, near Wembley Police Station, at around 3.45am the same morning. Police have not said whether the cordon off Ealing Road is connected to that incident.
Earlier incidents on Ealing Road
Police have dealt with several incidents on and around Ealing Road over the past year. In July 2026 a man was taken to hospital after an assault near a pharmacy on the road, and police put cordons in place. Earlier in the year, officers stepped up patrols after a series of late-night incidents at businesses in the Ealing Road and Sudbury areas.
The local Metropolitan Police neighbourhood team lists violence against women and girls around transport hubs, Wembley High Road and Ealing Road among its priorities for the area.
