A person was taken to hospital after a car overturned on Watford Road, on the border of Wembley and Harrow, late on Monday 19 October.
London Ambulance Service said it was called at 11.51pm to reports of a road traffic collision at the junction of Watford Road and Sudbury Court Road. It sent an ambulance crew, who treated a patient at the scene and then took them to hospital.
The patient's condition has not been made public. Police have not yet confirmed what caused the crash or whether any other vehicles were involved.
The scene
Footage shared with UB1UB2, filmed by a driver passing at about midnight, shows a white car lying on its roof in the road. One of its doors appears to have been torn off and is lying in the carriageway beside it, with debris spread across the road.
Police officers and an ambulance were at the scene, and the blue lights could be seen from further along the road. A number of people from nearby houses had come out onto the pavement to watch.
The person who filmed the footage said they drove past shortly after the collision and did not see the crash happen.
A busy route
Watford Road is part of the A404. It is one of the main routes between Wembley, Sudbury and Harrow, and carries heavy traffic at most times of day. The stretch past Sudbury Court Road runs through a largely residential area and also serves Northwick Park Hospital, which sits further along the same road.
It is the latest in a series of crashes in the Harrow and Wembley area where a car has ended up on its side or roof. Earlier this year, London Ambulance Service took a person to hospital after a car overturned on Bedford Road in Harrow on 8 April.
Some people who watched the footage asked whether incidents like this were becoming more common on the road. There are no official figures for this particular stretch to say whether that is the case.
Contacting police
The Metropolitan Police has not issued an appeal about the collision. Anyone who saw the crash, or who has dashcam footage from Watford Road around midnight on Monday 19 October, can contact the police on 101. In an emergency, always call 999.
