A car overturned onto the central reservation of Uxbridge Road in Hayes early on Friday 2 October, leaving railings torn out and debris spread across the road.
It happened at about 4am on the stretch opposite Springfield Road Retail Park, where Uxbridge Road runs past shops including Screwfix and Topps Tiles.
What footage shows
Footage shared with UB1UB2 shows the car lying fully on its roof with its airbags out and its headlights still on. Glass, body panels and other parts of the car are scattered across several lanes.
The metal guardrail along the road appears to have been ripped away, with sections of it left bent across the verge.
Police had cordoned off the road with blue lights flashing, and firefighters were seen checking the vehicle. A worker in high-visibility clothing can also be seen near the wreckage.
What is not yet known
The emergency services have not said how the crash happened, how many people were in the car or whether anyone was hurt. The Metropolitan Police has not confirmed whether anyone was arrested.
Nothing in the footage suggests another vehicle was involved, but this has not been confirmed.
It is not clear how long the road stayed closed or when the damaged railings will be repaired.
