A car was left resting on top of another vehicle after a crash near Greenford High School on the evening of Monday 28 September.

Footage shared with UB1UB2 shows at least three cars involved. A white hatchback was left tilted on the back of a grey car, with its rear wheels off the ground.

Broken glass and debris could be seen on the road. Police officers were at the scene checking the damage while traffic moved slowly past.

What is known so far

The Metropolitan Police has not released any details about the collision. It has not said what caused it, how many people were in the vehicles or whether anyone was hurt.

It is also not known whether any arrests were made or how long the road was affected while the vehicles were recovered.

Greenford High School is on Lady Margaret Road in Southall, UB1, near the border with Greenford. It is a large secondary school with a sixth form, run by the London Borough of Ealing, and teaches pupils aged 11 to 19.

Advice for the school run

The roads around the school are busy at drop-off and pick-up times. Drivers and families heading to the school the next morning were advised to allow extra time in case debris was still being cleared or vehicles were still being recovered.

Lady Margaret Road and the nearby residential streets carry local traffic between Southall and Greenford. Any closure or recovery work there can quickly cause delays on the surrounding roads.

Contacting the police

Anyone who saw the collision or has dashcam footage can contact the police on 101, quoting the location and the date, Monday 28 September. In an emergency, always call 999.
