Car left on its roof after early-morning crash in Northolt
Police were at the scene in the early hours of Friday 25 September, when one vehicle was left overturned and another ended up on the pavement near a bus stop. Police have not said what happened or whether anyone was hurt.
A car was left on its roof and a people carrier ended up on the pavement after what appears to have been a serious crash in Northolt in the early hours of Friday 25 September.
Footage shared with UB1UB2 shows the scene just after 2am. The person who filmed it said it was on the A312, the main road that runs north to south through Northolt.
What the footage shows
In the footage, a badly damaged people carrier sits on the pavement beside a bus stop, pushed into the trees and bushes at the edge of the road. Debris and loose tyres are scattered across the road, and a traffic cone has been put out in the carriageway.
A short way further round the bend, a second vehicle is lying completely upside down. Police officers can be seen at the scene, along with several other people.
The Metropolitan Police have not confirmed how the vehicles came to crash, how many were involved or whether anyone was hurt. It is also not known whether anyone has been arrested, or how long the road was closed.
A busy route
The A312 is one of the main roads in this part of West London. It links Hayes and the A40 with Northolt, South Harrow and Harrow, and many buses and a lot of local traffic use it at all hours.
Northolt has had several serious crashes in recent years. In January 2025 a driver was killed in a crash in the early hours, and police asked for dashcam footage. In May 2025 a pedestrian died after being hit by a car in Church Road. More recently, in June this year, a man died after a car hit him on the A40 slip road at the Target Roundabout.
Contacting police
Anyone who saw the crash, or has dashcam or doorbell footage from the area around 2am on Friday 25 September, can contact the police on 101. In an emergency, always call 999. Information can also be given anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
